About JTEX

Located near Montreal, Canada, JTEX designs and builds electronic devices for musicians and audio professionals. We specialize in low noise and low power onboard electronics for bass and guitar. We've also made some great pedals for good measure. 

JTEX is run by Jerry Catanescu. He started building guitar pedals, amps, EQs, and other gadgets in his early teens, when he joined an electronics club. What began as a hobby turned into a full-blown career, taking him through telecom companies, recording studios, and electronics manufacturers. Today, Jerry is the Chief Electronics Technician at McGill University’s Sound Recording Program.
